The first exposure most people have to the model is through reading P.E.T. or one of our other Gordon Model books so it always comes as good news when we hear from publishers in other countries who want to publish one of them. Most recently, P.E.T. has been published in Chinese, Greek, Romanian, Bulgarian, Russian, Ukrainian and Lithuanian and re-published in Spanish (Mexico) and Turkish. The L.E.T. book is now available in the Korean language and has been re-published in Swedish and French. And the Be Your Best book will soon be available again in Polish. The T.E.T. book is now published in Russian, Greek, re-published in Spanish and just came out in Bulgarian last week.

Y.E.T. in Lithuania
We have updated P.E.T. (2006), T.E.T. (2006), Be Your Best (2008), the Conflict Resolution Workshop (2008) and most recently, L.E.T. (2012). We’ve also developed a one-day refresher for L.E.T. graduates which is being well-received.
I am glad to announce that the Youth Effectiveness Training (Y.E.T.) program is once again available! We did a complete revision of it in 2011. So far young people in South Korea, China, Poland, Lithuania, Greece, Canada and here in the U.S. have participated.
We’ve recently developed a 30-hour T.E.T. course outline. As those of you who offer T.E.T. know, the standard course is 45 hours in length. It was originally created this way to meet a U.S. requirement for teachers who wanted to obtain university credit and needed 45 hours of instruction to get it. Since this is not the case in other countries, we’ve created an outline for a 30-hour version of the T.E.T. course. It features how-to articles, quizzes, videos and more which can be used to hone and refresh the skills of all P.E.T. and L.E.T. graduates. This site is designed to be accessed by using any smartphone or tablet.

P.E.T. Instructor Workshop in Latvia
Our worldwide network has expanded over the past few years and now includes Representatives and Licensees in Greece, Poland, China, Mexico, Romania, Bulgaria, Lithuania, Latvia, Lebanon, the Maldives, Turkey, Sweden, Chile and Venezuela.
In many countries, the new Representatives first launch the P.E.T. program. Then, once it is firmly established, they want to expand the Gordon Model in schools through T.E.T. This is the same sequence in which Dr. Gordon developed and first began offering the model over 50 years ago. He realized, as many of our Representatives have, that influencing school administrators and teachers to adopt T.E.T. is more challenging than offering P.E.T. to parents. T.E.T.’s successful implementation also requires different strategies depending on the country. Recently, several Representatives have reported that they are working with the Ministry of Education to obtain governmental approval of T.E.T. after which it will available to teachers throughout the country. ...Read more

- Thanks to a massive promotional campaign aimed at boosting our website ranking, Gordon Training now appears on page one of Google search results for “leadership training” and we’ve appeared on the first page every week so far this year!

- We will be training new P.E.T., T.E.T., Y.E.T. and L.E.T. Instructors in Poland, Bulgaria, China and Turkey.

JIPET visiting the GTI headquarters

As you know, last year was the 50th anniversary of Gordon Training. As one way of celebrating that milestone, we held an L.E.T. Forum in San Diego. This 2-day event was attended by L.E.T. Licensees from 10 different countries and quite a number of L.E.T. Trainers in U.S. companies. The purpose was for trainers to come together with like-minded people, gain a deeper understanding of the L.E.T. program and glean training tips. The L.E.T. Master Trainers essentially put on a graduate seminar in L.E.T. from which everyone gained tremendous value. We also held a special P.E.T. It’s 2012 and we’re excited to celebrate 50 amazing years that Gordon Training International has been offering the Gordon Model around the world to parents, leaders, teachers, clergy, students, and individuals.
We decided that this event was definitely worthy of creating a timeline. December 5, 2011 – SOLANA BEACH, CA – The most recent addition to Gordon Training International’s Parent Effectiveness Training (P.E.T.) family of Instructors in North America is finishing up his budding first year with a bang. Recently Certified P.E.T. Instructor, Joshua Van der Zwan of Surrey, British Columbia has already taught nearly 50 parents to date in only about eight months time – an incredible accomplishment for even a veteran P.E.T. Instructor. His gregarious attitude and contagious passion about sharing the P.E.T. core values (a.k.a. “The Gordon Model”) with more parents has allowed him to fill up his workshops to capacity and gain a growing audience of followers.
One of his recent graduates, Egyptian-Canadian Dr. Miral Hassan has now teamed up with Van der Zwan in her own realization about just how important it is for P.E.T. to be introduced to more parents. Today, Dr. Hassan was featured in an interview on Canada’s energetic variety show: “Simply The Best, the Luisa Marshall Show.” Dr. Hassan discussed the current situation in Egypt and her feelings about raising her 12 year old daughter in a culturally diverse society. ...Read more

November 16, 2011 – SOLANA BEACH, CA — Gordon Training International has just trained 16 new P.E.T. (Parent Effectiveness Training) instructors in Riga, Latvia. In addition to Latvians, participants from Estonia and Bulgaria also attended. This was possible because everyone there was fluent in Russian which meant the workshop could be interpreted from English into Russian.
Here is some feedback from one of the participants:
“[The workshop in] Latvia is now over and I just want to share and express our joy and a great feedback from the course – Markus [the facilitator] and the course itself were absolutely fantastic!
