The International Coaching Federation (ICF) recently awarded the Turkey’s Isikkent Schools the 2013 Prism Award for their exceptional coaching methods. The specialized coach-teachers at Isikkent are trained to conduct Dr. Thomas Gordon’s Parent Effectiveness Training (P.E.T.) workshop, in order for Isikkent parents to supplement their childrens’ goal-reaching capabilities, conflict-resolution skills and communication in a way that is synonymous with the schools methods and beliefs.
Parents who have taken the P.E.T. course have reported a significant increase in their ability to more effectively communicate with their children. Consequently, disciplinary issues among students at the school have decreased dramatically since the implementation of these coaching methods.
