Gordon Training International is celebrating it’s 50th anniversary as a pioneering human relations training company. Dr. Thomas Gordon founded GTI in 1962 after extensive research as a psychologist in the field of conflict resolution and leadership training. He created what is known as the “Gordon Model” – a set of communication skills that help people in different settings (work, home, and school) to resolve relationship conflicts. As a result, the following programs were developed to address the needs of each of those environments: Leader Effectiveness Training (L.E.T.), Parent Effectiveness Training (P.E.T.), and Teacher Effectiveness Training (T.E.T.).
As part of the 50th year celebration, in October 2012, there will be a once-in-a-lifetime international forum of L.E.T. trainers and licensees that will combine over 500 years of leadership training experience under one roof.
